“Everyone has their own story. My guidance is for people who feel stuck, are looking for more balance, or want to go deeper in their lives.
I am Ehsan Ebadi
And I lived through the first Gulf War...
My name is Ehsan Ebadi and I offer body-oriented therapy sessions in Amsterdam and online. I was born in Iran and lived in Iraq from age four to ten, where I experienced the Iran-Iraq War and the First Gulf War. In Iraq, I attended a boarding school run by a military group fighting for the freedom of the Iranian people. Later, we lived among Iraqis, and everything was focused on escaping as quickly as possible to a safer country with better prospects. My family and I fled to the Netherlands in 1991. I experienced that period with full awareness, and it had a profound impact on me…
A change of direction
As a child, I was deeply curious about other people — and about my own thoughts. How some thoughts, for instance, were far more positive than others. Later, I became interested in philosophy and spirituality, and left my work as an IT consultant at Accenture to study at Plum Village under the Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh.
The four months I spent there changed the course of my life. My interest in body and mind, and my longing for love and freedom, became my highest priority. Gradually, I came into contact with hidden layers within myself, and slowly learned to meet them. This journey has made me more authentic and has brought me into contact with my past — and through that, into contact with the here and now.
I wanted to share my journey
To fund my training in Massage & Movement Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and many retreats, I continued my work as a consultant for a few more years — until I was finally able to leave the old behind and begin something new. Today, I spend six months of the year in Amsterdam and six months in Mexico.
But year-round, you are welcome for sessions online.
I follow online body-oriented therapy with Ehsan and I am very satisfied. Ehsan creates a safe atmosphere in which I can share openly. He listens in a way that makes me feel genuinely heard and understood, while also asking exactly the right questions to help me get out of my head and connect more with what I feel physically and emotionally. Through this I discover a great deal about my emotions, my own needs, and what I truly want. What strikes me is how skilled Ehsan is at picking up signals from my posture even through an online video call, which makes the sessions incredibly effective. Compared to previous therapies, I have made far more progress here. I wholeheartedly recommend his body-oriented therapy.
Ehsan created a calm and safe setting that allowed me to access different layers of my feelings. He had a real sense of me and asked exactly the questions I needed to understand myself better.
The sessions with Ehsan were a truly special experience. They gave me a safe space to connect with myself and with emotions I wasn’t consciously aware of. His calm way of guiding made it easy for me to understand my own unconscious patterns.
The sessions with Ehsan are remarkable experiences. Through the SE sessions and my contact with Ehsan, I’ve become calmer, stronger, and more self-aware. Ehsan creates the time and space to really experience your body and emotions. Working together with him, I gain greater insight into how I function — my body, my thoughts — what I need, and I’m learning to pursue my life goals with more intention.
I am very happy with the therapy I received from Ehsan. For me it was the first time that I felt really safe during therapeutic sessions. This had a positive influence on the quality of the sessions. All so we had quite a few online sessions. Although I was a little sceptic on forehand, we reached the same quality in the sessions. Ehsan is really good in focusing on the details. It made that I could really feel what was going on in my body and mind. Thank you so much for this Ehsan!
When I started working with Ehsan, I have already done lots of somatic work and wasn’t sure how much value I would get from the work. It’s been more than 2 years and now I consider working with Ehsan a big and regular part of my ongoing healing journey. His ability to combine multiple modalities stood out, and helped me go deep into levels I haven’t explored before. I definitely recommend Ehsan’s work!

How can I sign up?
Go to Contact or schedule a free intake conversation online.
During the intake, I’d like to get to know you a little better and also take some time together to explore your wish and what seems to be getting in the way. We’ll also go through the practical details so you have a clear sense of what our potential work together would look like.
Before the intake, make sure you’re somewhere quiet and private where you won’t be disturbed, and that you have a good internet connection.
What are the next steps?
When we decide during or after the intake to work together, we take the following steps:
- I’ll send you an intake form to fill in and return before our first session.
- I’ll send you a payment request for the package you’ve chosen.
- We schedule our first session.
- At the end of the first session, we plan the remaining sessions — online or in person.
- After the final session, you can choose to continue with a follow-up package or individual sessions. I’ll then send you an invoice so you can submit it for reimbursement if applicable. For longer programs, I can invoice every 6 sessions so you don’t have to wait too long for your money back. The reason I invoice afterwards is that health insurers require the session dates in order to process reimbursement.
How can I reach you?
I’m best reached by email, but you’re also welcome to call. You can also schedule a free intake directly.
