Breaking through old patterns
Deeper connection with yourself
What is NARM?
NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), developed by Dr. Laurence Heller, is a method focused on healing developmental trauma. This is trauma that arises from a prolonged lack of connection, trust, attunement, or support during childhood.
NARM works both ‘top-down’ (gaining insight into patterns) and ‘bottom-up’ (body awareness). We explore in the here-and-now how old survival strategies — such as people-pleasing, perfectionism, or withdrawal — are holding you back. The goal is not to relive the past, but to restore your capacity for connection and vitality.

I work from a place of trust in your resilience. Together, with genuine curiosity, we explore what you’re looking for. We create a space where everything that seems to be in the way can show itself and be met with warmth and understanding. When what is “old” in you is felt and understood in connection, healing arises — and you can move forward. There is now room for something new.

Why NARM?
Where many therapies focus on what is ‘wrong’, NARM looks at how you have survived. It’s about transforming shame and low self-worth into a deep sense of who you truly are.
This approach is respectful and non-pathologizing. It helps you understand the survival patterns you once needed, and gives you the tools to make new, healthier choices that reflect who you are today.
Who is this suitable for?
NARM is particularly well-suited if you find yourself stuck in recurring patterns in your life, work, or relationships. It is especially valuable when you…
Struggle with low self-worth or shame
Have difficulty setting boundaries
Keep ending up in unhealthy relationships
Suffer from perfectionism or people-pleasing
What can NARM bring you?
If you’re ready to break through deeply rooted patterns, NARM offers a path toward greater authenticity. It’s about letting go of who you thought you had to be, and embracing who you truly are. Together we work on restoring your connection with yourself and others.
I help you with, among other things:
Greater self-acceptance and trust
Feeling your boundaries more clearly
Entering into deeper and more authentic relationships
I follow online body-oriented therapy with Ehsan and I am very satisfied. Ehsan creates a safe atmosphere in which I can share openly. He listens in a way that makes me feel genuinely heard and understood, while also asking exactly the right questions to help me get out of my head and connect more with what I feel physically and emotionally. Through this I discover a great deal about my emotions, my own needs, and what I truly want. What strikes me is how skilled Ehsan is at picking up signals from my posture even through an online video call, which makes the sessions incredibly effective. Compared to previous therapies, I have made far more progress here. I wholeheartedly recommend his body-oriented therapy.
Ehsan created a calm and safe setting that allowed me to access different layers of my feelings. He had a real sense of me and asked exactly the questions I needed to understand myself better.
The sessions with Ehsan were a truly special experience. They gave me a safe space to connect with myself and with emotions I wasn’t consciously aware of. His calm way of guiding made it easy for me to understand my own unconscious patterns.
The sessions with Ehsan are remarkable experiences. Through the SE sessions and my contact with Ehsan, I’ve become calmer, stronger, and more self-aware. Ehsan creates the time and space to really experience your body and emotions. Working together with him, I gain greater insight into how I function — my body, my thoughts — what I need, and I’m learning to pursue my life goals with more intention.
I am very happy with the therapy I received from Ehsan. For me it was the first time that I felt really safe during therapeutic sessions. This had a positive influence on the quality of the sessions. All so we had quite a few online sessions. Although I was a little sceptic on forehand, we reached the same quality in the sessions. Ehsan is really good in focusing on the details. It made that I could really feel what was going on in my body and mind. Thank you so much for this Ehsan!
When I started working with Ehsan, I have already done lots of somatic work and wasn’t sure how much value I would get from the work. It’s been more than 2 years and now I consider working with Ehsan a big and regular part of my ongoing healing journey. His ability to combine multiple modalities stood out, and helped me go deep into levels I haven’t explored before. I definitely recommend Ehsan’s work!

Frequently asked questions about NARM
Browse our frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is NARM therapy and does it help with trauma?
NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) was specifically developed for healing developmental trauma (C-PTSD). If you find yourself repeatedly running into the same patterns in relationships, work, or your sense of self, NARM helps you break through these unconscious survival strategies. We focus on restoring your connection with yourself and your vitality.
What does a NARM session look like?
We work not only cognitively (talking), but also somatically (through the body). In the here-and-now, we explore what is preventing you from feeling free and connected. Rather than digging solely into the past, we build your agency in the present, so you can regain a sense of direction in your life. You can schedule a free introductory session to experience this for yourself.
Is NARM suitable for online therapy?
Yes, NARM is highly effective as online therapy. Because the method relies strongly on exploring your inner experience and the therapeutic dialogue, it works excellently via video call. You can work on healing and connection from the safety of your own environment. Feel free to get in touch to discuss the options.
Are sessions reimbursed?
Because I am affiliated with recognized professional associations, NARM sessions are often (partially) reimbursed through supplementary health insurance under alternative care or psychosocial therapy. This does not affect your deductible. Always check your policy to confirm your coverage.
